An accountant for InterpretersA firm that genuinely knows what it is you do.
Who are we?
We are an accountancy firm called “The Tax Hive” and we specialise in Sign Language Interpreters. Understanding that a niche vocation such as being an SLI needs a boutique firm that understand your job, the way you are paid and what it is you need to do to keep the business running.
What do we do
As well as supporting clients with their tax returns and limited company accounts, we are also regularly hosting webinars for the different ASLI regions, keeping the ‘terps up to date with latest tax law and any changes that may affect them (as well as helping you get your CPD points)
There is no one size fits all approach to taxes.
Dependant on your level of income and your personal circumstances, we not only offer the services you will need to stay compliant and off of HMRC’s naughty step, but we also offer ongoing support as standard, as to if we believe there is a more efficient way to be completing your taxes, you will be the first to know, as well as supported through the process.
£ 228.00.
Our service for sole traders entails the Accounts and Tax Return compiled, reviewed and submitted to HMRC. All tax efficiencies looked at, and no extra charges for phone calls and e-mails. One set fee. Ensuring that you do not pay a penny more in tax than you have to. Payable upon completion.
£600.00.
Our fee for completing annual accounts, corporation tax return and monthly payroll for 1 to 2 directors. As with the Sole Trader, there are no additional costs. What you see is what you pay. Efficiency reviews and tax help. Payable by monthly direct debit to assist better cashflow.

Although your business will be the main reason that you are here. We know that personal taxes and business taxes stretch way beyond the standard. We are equipped to take on all sorts of tax work from capital gains to Inheritance tax. Ad-hoc consultancy and more. Please do contact us for a quote.
We are here for Interpreters.
With a wonderful link to the interpreting world via my RSLI wife, I was very fortunate to have gained some interpreter clients over 3 years ago. Since then, I realised that there isn’t a service designed for Interpreters to have fingers on the pulse of relevant tax changes. The job of an Interpreter is busy, so we like to take some of the stress out of your admin, and build a relationship with you, as a person. We want you to know us, and you trust us to make sure your accounts are in perfect working order.
Updates & Relevant articles
Part of our daily, weekly or monthly life is to keep an ear to the ground in relation to self-employed and corporate taxes. We will be regularly updating our blog page, so do make sure you come back when you have a spare few minutes, and we will keep you up to date.
Personality
As someone who knows the importance of business relationships and having someone on your team that gets what you do, rest assured you will have one person with you the entire time. That is me. Andy Smith, the owner of the Tax Hive & Interpreting Tax. You won’t be palmed off to anyone else, you will deal with me. Always.
